Casa Ruina // Barcelona, Spain

The concept for this residential area draws inspiration from Italian architect Carlo Scarpa’s work for the Venice Biennal in 1952 called the “Sculpture Garden”.

By analyzing Scarpa’s pavilion, the project aims to evoke a sense of a modern ruin and
translate it into a unique monolithic ambiance.

Scarpa’s pavilion showcases the beauty of decay and the passage of time, offering a glimpse into the past while embracing the present. This deliberate approach infuses the residential area with a sense of history.
